Debbie Perkins is a New Zealand Qualified Physiotherapist with 6 years experience. She spent the first 3 years of her career working as both a Pilate’s instructor and private practice physiotherapist. For the past 3 years she has been based in Mount Isa, QLD, working with Xstrata Mines providing vocational services as well as working in a busy private practice.
Debbie has a strong passion for a team approach and working on injury prevention in the workplace. She has experience with pre-employment screens, functional capacity evaluations and work hardening programs, that she believes make a huge difference in injury prevention.
Debbie enjoys teaching and acting as a mentor to both students and other work colleagues and thrives in managerial roles.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children. She looks forward to enjoying life again in Northland where she grew up and is excited to finally get back to fishing and diving after too many years in the outback.
