The CPA is for clients whose pain has persisted for at least 12 weeks from the date of injury.

The CPA is delivered by a multidisciplinary team which ensures that clients with persistent pain-related disability receive a comprehensive, fully integrated, and independent clinical assessment. The emphasis is on determining functional goals for the client’s rehabilitation.

The CPA consists of

  • A comprehensive assessment involving:
  • A Specialist Medical Assessment
  • A Psychological Assessment, and
  • A Functional Assessment\
  • A multidisciplinary team discussion to determine common clinical formulation, goals, and recommendations
  • Feedback to the client of the CPA findings and recommendations.
  • A combined multidisciplinary summary report outlining specific functional goals, priority of intervention, intervention readiness, and timeframes.

Where possible the assessments will all be held on the same day to reduce the travel involved for the client and their family/whanau.

Our experienced medical practitioners, psychologists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists are available in the Rodney, Kaipara, whangarei and Far North districts.
